The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences takes teaching seriously. Many of our graduate students hope to become professors one day and are excelling both as students and teaching assistants at Tufts. There are also a number of graduate students who, while wishing to pursue other careers, are interested in learning more about college/university-level teaching as well.

Regardless of their career aspirations, there are a variety of resources available for Arts and Sciences graduate students interested in learning more about teaching in academia. Graduate students and visitors to this site are encouraged to access the links below to learn more about these opportunities:

Did You Know?

The Graduate Student Council (GSC) was established in the late 1980s and provides a forum for graduate students across all the disciplines. Each year, the GSC hosts a graduate student research symposium, a Giving Tree program (which donates toys to anonymous local children in the Medford/Somerville area) and a 5k Run/Walk, an event which has raised over $35,000 for a variety of charitable causes.
