Interdisciplinary DoctoratePrograms Offered: Ph.D. Doctoral level studies that span several disciplines may qualify for this highly selective program, established for people who wish to pursue a doctorate in areas of study more broadly conceived than in any of Tufts' disciplinary Ph.D. programs. Applicants need to be familiar with Tufts' graduate program and with its faculty and must demonstrate aptitude for independent research and scholarship, usually by having completed an accredited master's degree with a written thesis or, in some cases, by published research.
