There is perhaps no better place to be a graduate student than the Boston area. Located in Medford, Massachusetts, the Tufts Graduate School of Arts and Sciences is just five miles outside of Boston, a city which offers a multitude of culinary, historical, recreational, ethnic, and cultural resources. The area is also home to more than 150,000 students in 50 colleges and universities.

Near the Tufts campus is Davis Square, with its own noted array of stores, clubs, and restaurants, as well as a subway stop for easy access to downtown Boston, Harvard Square, and other parts of Boston and Cambridge.

Did You Know?

There are more than thirty Tufts centers and institutes, with the potential to foster collaborative, cross disciplinary projects. Some of them include the Center for Cognitive Studies, Center for Reading and Language Research, Institute for Applied Research in Youth Development, and the Wright Center for Science Education.
