American Association of Health Plans (AAHP): Minority Management Development Program: Annual program to prepare minority individuals for middle management positions in managed care. Minority individuals who possess a baccalaureate or master's degree in health care administration, business or other related field and who have worked in a health care entity for at least one year should apply. Additionally, minority individuals who possess an associate's or RN license and three years or more of supervisory experience in health care are also encouraged to apply.

National Institutes of Health Individual Predoctoral Fellowships for Minority Students: The National Research Service Award Predoctoral Fellowship for Minority Students will provide up to five years of support for research training leading to the Ph.D. or equivalent research degree; the combined M.D./Ph.D. degree; or other combined professional degree and research doctoral degree in the biomedical, behavioral sciences, or health services research. These fellowships are designed to enhance the racial and ethnic diversity of the biomedical, behavioral, and health services research labor force in the United States. Accordingly, academic institutions are encouraged to identify and recruit students from under-represented racial and ethnic groups who can apply for this fellowship.
